You can press it to set the lock screen background from the Photos app directly. There is a Ctrl + L shortcut defined for the same action. A new menu will appear on the screen with the "Set as lock screen" command which you can use to set the current image as your lock screen background. Open the desired image in the Photos app and click the three dots menu button. Tip: You can also use the Photos app to set your favorite picture as your Lock Screen background. Click "Add a folder" to add a new folder with images which will be cycled on the lock screen: The Advanced slideshow settings link under the folder list allows you to tweak the slideshow behavior. It will play images from the folders you include. Once the personalization panel has been opened, select the Lock Screen option on the left panel.
